Setup
1. Initial Charging (Solar Power)
Your Casio W-S220 watch is equipped with Tough Solar technology, which converts light into power. The power indicator on the display will show the current charge level.

Maintenance
1. Battery and Charging
The W-S220 features a Tough Solar power system with an approximate 10-year battery life. To maintain optimal charge, ensure the watch is regularly exposed to light. Avoid prolonged storage in dark places. If the power indicator shows a low charge, place the watch in direct sunlight or under a strong artificial light source until fully charged.
2. Water Resistance (10 ATM)
This watch is rated for 10 ATM (100 meters) water resistance. This means it is suitable for swimming, showering, and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water entry.
3. Cleaning
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn grime, use a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the watch's materials.
Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The watch may be low on charge. Expose it to bright light for several hours.
- Incorrect time/date: Refer to the "Setting the Time and Date" section to re-adjust the settings. Ensure the correct city code and DST setting are selected.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable) or that it is not wet. If the issue persists, a full reset might be necessary (refer to the full Casio module manual for specific reset procedures).
- Alarm not sounding: Check if the alarm is set to ON in the Alarm Mode. Also, ensure the volume is not muted (if applicable).
