Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the feeder with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the unit in water.
  • Periodically clean the food dispensing mechanism to prevent clogs, especially if using flake food. Ensure the feeder is off and batteries are removed before cleaning internal parts.

2. Food Refill

  • Monitor the food level through the transparent window. Refill as needed by sliding the window open.

3. Battery Replacement

  • Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD screen or if the feeder stops functioning. Always replace both AA batteries simultaneously.

Troubleshooting

  • Feeder not dispensing food:
Check battery level and replace if necessary. Ensure the food compartment is not empty. Verify that the dispensing mechanism is not clogged by food debris. Check programmed feeding times.
  • LCD screen not displaying:
Check battery installation and ensure batteries are fresh. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
  • Food getting wet or clumping:
Ensure the feeder is positioned away from direct water splashes. Check that the food compartment window is fully closed. Consider using a desiccant packet inside the food compartment if humidity is high.
  • Inaccurate feeding times:
Re-check the programmed feeding schedule and current time settings.
