Product Overview
The AFMAT ES10 Effortless Desktop Stapler is designed for efficient and comfortable stapling in office, home, or school environments. It features a 50-sheet capacity, reduced effort operation, and a convenient built-in staple remover. Its ergonomic design allows for both desktop and handheld use.

Setup
Loading Staples
- Locate the red release button on the side of the stapler.
- Press the release button firmly to open the staple tray. The tray will pop out from the front of the stapler.
- Insert a strip of compatible staples into the open tray. Ensure the staples are facing the correct direction (points down).
- Gently push the staple tray back into the stapler until it clicks securely into place.
Compatible Staple Types:
- For 20-25 sheets: #23/6, #24/6, #26/6 (1/4 inch leg)
- For 40-50 sheets: #23/8 (5/16 inch leg)
Note: Staples are not included with the stapler.

Operation
Stapling Documents
The AFMAT ES10 stapler is designed for reduced effort, allowing for one-finger operation. It can be used as both a desktop stapler and a handheld stapler.
- Gather the papers you wish to staple, ensuring they are aligned neatly.
- Insert the corner of the paper stack into the stapler's opening.
- Press down firmly on the top of the stapler until the staple pierces through the papers and clinches underneath. Ensure you press down deep enough before releasing to prevent incomplete stapling.
Tip: For optimal performance and to avoid jams, ensure the stapler is pressed down completely during each use.

Using the Built-in Staple Remover
The stapler includes a convenient staple remover integrated into its design.
- Locate the metal claw-like protrusion at the back of the stapler.
- Slide the claw underneath one side of the staple you wish to remove.
- Gently lift the stapler, using the claw to pry up the staple legs.
- Repeat on the other side if necessary, then remove the staple from the paper.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AFMAT stapler, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the stapler clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the stapler to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Store the stapler in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
Troubleshooting
Stapler Jamming
While the AFMAT stapler features JAM-FREE technology, occasional jams can occur. Follow these steps to clear a jam:
- Press the release button to open the staple tray.
- Gently remove any jammed staples from the mechanism using a pair of pliers or tweezers. Be careful not to bend or damage internal components.
- Remove and discard a few staples near the staple outlet from the strip to ensure smooth feeding.
- Push the staple tray back into place.
Important: If the staple tray cannot be opened, gently pry it open with pliers to clear the jam. Do not force the stapler if it is jammed, as this may cause damage. Always use the correct staple type for the stapler.
