4. Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your Electrolux Ergorapido ERG36:

5. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the vacuum cleaner for approximately 4 hours. The battery provides up to 45 minutes of runtime on a full charge.

  1. Place the vacuum cleaner on its charging base or connect the power adapter directly to the charging port.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a suitable wall outlet.
  3. The charging indicator lights on the handle will illuminate, indicating that the unit is charging.
  4. Once fully charged, the indicator lights will show a steady illumination or turn off, depending on the model.

Note: For optimal battery life, avoid completely draining the battery before recharging. Store the vacuum in a cool, dry place when not in use.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Vertical Vacuum Mode

  1. Ensure the handheld unit is securely docked in the main vertical body.
  2. Press the power button on the handle to turn on the vacuum cleaner.

6.2. Handheld Vacuum Mode

6.3. Using the PET Nozzle (Turbo Nozzle)

The included turbo nozzle is specifically designed for efficient removal of pet hair and embedded dirt from carpets and upholstery.

  • Attach the turbo nozzle to the handheld unit.
  • Move the nozzle slowly over the surface to allow the rotating brush to agitate and lift pet hair and debris.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.

7.1. Emptying the Dustbin

Empty the dustbin regularly, especially when it reaches the 'MAX' fill line, to maintain suction power.

  1. Ensure the vacuum is turned off.
  2. Detach the handheld unit.
  3. Locate the dustbin release button and press it to open the dustbin.
  4. Empty the contents into a waste bin.
  5. Close the dustbin securely.

7.2. Cleaning the Filters

The ERG36 features a 5-stage HEPA filtration system, removing up to 99.99% of microparticles and allergens. Clean the filters regularly to maintain filtration efficiency.

  1. Remove the dustbin as described above.
  2. Carefully remove the filter assembly from the dustbin.
  3. Tap the filters gently over a waste bin to remove loose dust.
  4. If heavily soiled, rinse the filters under lukewarm running water. Do not use detergents.
  5. Allow the filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting them. Do not use a hairdryer or other heating devices.
  6. Reassemble the filters and dustbin, then reattach to the handheld unit.

7.3. BrushRollClean™ Function

The unique BrushRollClean™ function allows for easy cleaning of tangled hair and fibers from the brush roll.

  1. Ensure the vacuum is turned on and in vertical mode.
  2. Place the vacuum on a hard, flat surface.
  3. Press the BrushRollClean™ pedal (located on the floor nozzle) with your foot.
  4. Hold the pedal down for approximately 5-10 seconds. The internal blade will cut and vacuum up tangled hair.
  5. Release the pedal. The brush roll is now clean.

8. Troubleshooting
