4. Setup
- Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the VL200 light using the provided USB Type-C cable. Connect the cable to the Type-C port on the light and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port). The LCD display will indicate charging status.
- Attach Diffuser (Optional): For softer light, gently slide the silicone diffuser over the LED panel. Ensure it fits snugly.
- Mounting:
- Cold Shoe Mount: Attach the universal cold shoe mount (ballhead) to the 1/4-inch threaded hole at the bottom of the light. Secure it by tightening the screw. Then, slide the cold shoe foot into your camera's hot shoe or a compatible cold shoe adapter and tighten the locking knob.
- Tripod Mounting: The 1/4-inch threaded hole at the bottom of the light allows direct mounting onto tripods, light stands, or other accessories with a 1/4-inch screw.
5. Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Locate the power button/knob on the side of the light. Press and hold to power the unit on or off. The LCD display will illuminate upon power-on.
- Adjust Brightness: Use the dedicated brightness adjustment knob (often labeled or indicated on the LCD) to increase or decrease the light intensity from 1% to 100%. Rotate the knob clockwise to increase brightness and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
- Adjust Color Temperature: Use the color temperature adjustment knob to change the light's warmth or coolness. Rotate the knob to cycle through the 2500K (warm) to 9000K (cool) range.
- Monitor Settings: The intelligent LCD display on the back of the unit provides real-time information on battery level, current Kelvin rating, and brightness level.
