3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Connecting the Hub
- Connect the USB-C connector of the hub to a compatible USB-C port on your host device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone). Ensure your device's USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode) and power delivery for full functionality.
- For power, connect your device's original USB-C power adapter to the USB-C PD port on the hub.
3.2 Driver Installation (for Mac OS Multi-Display)
For Mac OS users to achieve a 3-screen extended display (MST function), a specific driver named "Udisplay" is required. This driver is typically embedded within the hub and can be installed upon initial connection.
- Upon first connection to a Mac OS device, a virtual CD-ROM drive containing the driver may appear. Double-click to run the installer.
- Alternatively, connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI port located on the right side of the hub (when facing the Lemorele logo). This action should prompt the driver download.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.
Important Note for Mac OS: To ensure secure and compliant operation, you may need to grant permissions for "Screen Recording," "Input Monitoring," and "Accessibility" in your Mac OS System Settings after driver installation. The product does not store user data or privacy-related records online.
Compatibility Note: The Udisplay driver and multi-display functionality are supported on Windows 10 and later, and Mac OS 10.15 and later. ChromeOS, Android, iOS, Linux, and Unix operating systems are not supported for multi-display extension.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Multi-Display Modes
The hub supports both Mirror (duplicate) and Extend (separate) display modes, allowing you to configure your workspace as needed.

Figure 4.1: Illustration of Mirror Mode (top) where the laptop screen is duplicated on an external display, and Extend Mode (bottom) where the laptop screen is extended to an external monitor, providing more screen real estate.
- Mirror Mode: Displays the same content on all connected monitors.
- Extend Mode: Allows different content to be displayed on each monitor, expanding your desktop workspace.
Display Resolution: For Mac OS, the main display supports up to 4K@30Hz, suitable for high-resolution tasks like video editing or graphic design. The sub-display supports up to 1080P@60Hz, ideal for email or document processing.
4.2 USB Peripheral Connection
Connect your USB devices to the USB 3.0 ports on the hub. These ports offer high-speed data transfer.

Figure 4.2: The USB 3.0 ports on the hub provide fast data transfer, significantly quicker than USB 2.0, enabling efficient use of external storage and peripherals.
4.3 SD/Micro SD Card Usage
Insert your SD or Micro SD cards into the corresponding slots for quick data access.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Lemorele USB C Hub, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the hub. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the device.
- Storage: Store the hub in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: The hub features a durable braided nylon cable. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling on the cable to prevent internal damage. The 60cm cable length is designed to minimize clutter.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Lemorele USB C Hub, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Display Output / Incorrect Resolution:
- Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (video output). Not all USB-C ports support this feature.
- Verify that the HDMI cables are securely connected to both the hub and the external display.
- For Mac OS, confirm the "Udisplay" driver is installed and necessary permissions (Screen Recording, Input Monitoring, Accessibility) are granted in System Settings.
- Check your display settings on your computer to ensure the correct resolution and refresh rate are selected. If the external monitor is black, try setting it to 60Hz and the lowest listed resolution, then adjust upwards. - USB Ports Not Functioning:
- Ensure the hub is securely connected to your host device.
- Try connecting the USB device directly to your host device to confirm it is working.
- If using a high-power USB device, ensure the hub is connected to a power source via its USB-C PD port. - SD/Micro SD Card Not Detected:
- Ensure the card is fully inserted into the correct slot.
- Check if the card is damaged or corrupted by testing it on another device.
- Ensure your operating system has the necessary drivers for card readers (usually built-in). - Ethernet Connection Issues:
- Verify that the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the hub and your router/modem.
- Check your network settings on your computer.
- Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports Ethernet functionality through the hub. - Hub Overheating:
- The aluminum alloy casing is designed for heat dissipation. Minor warmth during operation is normal.
- If the hub becomes excessively hot, disconnect it and allow it to cool down. Ensure it is used in a well-ventilated area. - Driver Installation Failure (Mac OS):
- Re-attempt the driver installation process. If the virtual CD-ROM does not appear, try connecting an HDMI cable to the designated HDMI port on the right side of the hub to trigger the download.
- Ensure your Mac OS version is 10.15 or later.
