4. Setup Instructions

  1. Placement: Position the ITC-306T controller in a dry, stable location away from direct sunlight or excessive moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  2. Probe Installation: Carefully insert the stainless steel temperature probe into the environment where temperature needs to be controlled (e.g., aquarium, terrarium, brewing vessel). Ensure the probe tip is fully immersed or positioned correctly to accurately measure the desired temperature. Avoid bending the probe cable sharply.
  3. Connect Heating Device: Plug your heating device (e.g., heat mat, ceramic heater, aquarium heater) into one of the two output sockets on the ITC-306T's power strip. Ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed 1200W.
  4. Power On: Plug the main power cord of the ITC-306T into a standard 110V AC power outlet. The digital display will illuminate, showing the current measured temperature (PV) and the set temperature (SV).

7. Troubleshooting

Table 2: Common Issues and Solutions
ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Display is blankNo power supply.Check if the unit is properly plugged into a live power outlet. Verify the outlet is functioning.
Temperature reading is inaccurateProbe is dirty or damaged; Calibration needed.Clean the probe. If still inaccurate, use the CA (Temperature Calibration) function to adjust. If damaged, replace the probe.
Heating device not turning on/offIncorrect temperature settings (SV, HD); Device malfunction.Verify SV and HD settings. Ensure the heating device is functional by plugging it directly into a power outlet.
"E1" or "HH" error on displaySensor fault or temperature exceeding range.Check probe connection. If the error persists, the probe may be faulty. "HH" indicates temperature is too high.

If the issue persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Inkbird customer support.
