Connecting Devices
After successful setup, your JOOWIN WiFi Booster will broadcast an extended Wi-Fi network. Search for this network on your devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs) and connect using the password you configured during setup (if you changed it, otherwise it's the same as your main router's Wi-Fi password).
Using the Ethernet Port
The booster includes an RJ45 Ethernet port. You can use this port to connect a wired device (e.g., desktop computer, gaming console, smart TV) to your network, providing a stable wired connection in the extended Wi-Fi area.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Placement: Ensure the booster is placed in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or appliances that may cause interference.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the JOOWIN official website for firmware updates. Updating the firmware can improve performance and security.
- Resetting: If the device is not functioning correctly, you may perform a factory reset. Locate the reset pinhole button (usually on the bottom or side) and press and hold it for 5-10 seconds using a paperclip until the LEDs flash. This will revert all settings to factory defaults.
Troubleshooting
- Q: The Wi-Fi LED is off or blinking rapidly after setup.
- A: This indicates a poor or no connection to the main router. Try moving the booster closer to your main router. Ensure your main router's Wi-Fi is active and the password entered during setup is correct. If using WPS, ensure both buttons were pressed within the time limit.
- Q: I cannot access the web management page (192.168.10.1).
- A: Ensure your device is connected to the booster's Wi-Fi network (e.g., "JOOWIN_XXXX") and not your main router's network. Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser. Temporarily disable any VPN or firewall software. If issues persist, perform a factory reset on the booster.
- Q: The extended Wi-Fi signal is weak or unstable.
- A: The booster might be too far from your main router or too close to a source of interference. Relocate the booster to a position halfway between your router and the desired coverage area. Avoid placing it near microwaves, cordless phones, or large metal objects. Adjust the antennas for better reception.
- Q: My devices are not connecting to the extended network.
- A: Double-check the Wi-Fi password you are entering. If you changed the SSID of the extended network, ensure you are connecting to the correct network name. Restart both the booster and your client devices.
