5.2 Fitting the Helmet

Proper fit is crucial for safety and comfort.

  1. Place the helmet on your head so it sits level and covers your forehead.
  2. Adjust the retention system dial (located at the back of the helmet) to achieve a snug, comfortable fit. The helmet should not move freely when you shake your head.
  3. Adjust the side straps so they form a "V" shape just below your ears.
  4. Fasten the chin strap buckle and tighten it so that no more than two fingers can fit between the strap and your chin.

5.3 Pairing with the LIVALL Riding App

To unlock all smart features, pair your helmet with the LIVALL Riding App.

  1. Download the "LIVALL Riding" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  3. Turn on your LIVALL BH60SE Neo helmet (refer to Section 6.1).
  4. Open the LIVALL Riding app and follow the on-screen instructions to search for and connect to your helmet.
  5. Once connected, the app will display the helmet's status and allow configuration of features like SOS contacts and LED patterns.

6. Operating Instructions

  • Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the rear or side of the helmet) for 3 seconds until the LEDs illuminate and you hear a power-on prompt.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the LEDs turn off and you hear a power-off prompt.

6.2 LED Lighting and Turn Signals

The helmet's integrated LEDs enhance your visibility to others.

  • Default Lighting: When powered on, the rear LEDs will typically be in a steady or flashing mode.
  • Turn Signals: If you have the LIVALL remote control (sold separately) or use the app, you can activate left or right turn signals. The corresponding side LEDs will flash.
  • Brake Light: The helmet automatically detects significant deceleration and activates a brighter, steady red light to signal braking.

6.3 Bluetooth Multimedia Functions

Once paired with your smartphone, you can use the helmet for audio.

  • Music Playback: Play music from your smartphone. The helmet's open-ear speakers allow you to hear music while remaining aware of ambient sounds.
  • Phone Calls: Answer incoming calls directly through the helmet. The integrated microphone allows for clear communication.
  • Navigation Prompts: Receive turn-by-turn navigation instructions from your mapping app.

6.4 SOS Alarm System

The SOS system is a critical safety feature.

  • Ensure SOS contacts are set up in the LIVALL Riding App.
  • In the event of a significant impact or fall, the helmet's sensor will detect it.
  • After a short countdown (to allow for cancellation if it's a false alarm), the app will send an SOS message with your GPS location to your pre-set emergency contacts.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Helmet

  • Wipe the exterior of the helmet with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
  • The internal padding can often be removed and hand-washed with mild soap and water. Allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
