1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Donner DDA-20 Mini Electric Drum Amplifier. This compact and powerful amplifier is designed to provide clear and dynamic sound for electronic drums, keyboards, and other musical instruments. Its portable design makes it ideal for home practice, street performance, and small band sessions. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your DDA-20 amplifier.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions carefully before operating the amplifier.
  • Keep this manual for future reference.
  • Do not expose the amplifier to rain or moisture to prevent fire or electric shock.
  • Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  • Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  • Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

5. Setup

  1. Power Connection: Connect the provided 18V/3A power adapter to the DC IN jack on the amplifier and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Instrument Connection:
    • For wired connection: Use a standard instrument cable (not included) to connect your electronic drum module or keyboard to the INPUT jack on the amplifier.
    • For wireless connection: The DDA-20 supports wireless multimedia input. Refer to the 'Operating Instructions' section for details on pairing your device.
  3. Placement: Place the amplifier on a stable, flat surface. The unique elevation angle is designed to project sound effectively towards the listener.
  4. Initial Settings: Before powering on, ensure the VOL, LOW, and HIGH knobs are set to their minimum (0) positions to avoid sudden loud sounds.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, flip the POWER switch to the 'ON' position.
  • To power off, flip the POWER switch to the 'OFF' position.

6.2 Adjusting Volume

  • After powering on, slowly turn the VOL knob clockwise to increase the volume to your desired level.
  • Turn the VOL knob counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.

6.3 Tone Adjustment (Equalization)

  • Use the LOW knob to adjust the bass frequencies. Turn clockwise for more bass, counter-clockwise for less.
  • Use the HIGH knob to adjust the treble frequencies. Turn clockwise for more treble, counter-clockwise for less.

6.4 Wireless Multimedia Control

7. Maintenance

  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the amplifier in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Protection: The amplifier's edges are reinforced with hard material and rubber pads for protection. Avoid dropping or subjecting the unit to severe impacts.

8. Troubleshooting
