1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the MELOKEA Ergonomic Office Chair. This manual provides detailed instructions for assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure you get the most comfortable and efficient experience from your new chair. Designed for optimal support and comfort, this chair features an S-shaped lumbar support, adjustable height and headrest, and a breathable mesh design.

2. Product Components

Before assembly, please ensure all components are present and undamaged. Refer to the diagram below for identification.

• Backrest with integrated S-shaped lumbar support and breathable mesh
• Seat cushion with high-density foam
• Headrest (adjustable)

• Gas lift cylinder (10cm adjustable, SGS Class III certified)
• Star base
• Nylon PU wheels (5 pieces)
• Assembly hardware (screws, Allen key)

3. Setup and Assembly

Assembly is straightforward and typically takes about 10 minutes. All necessary tools are included in the package. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.

Assembly Steps:

1. Attach Wheels to Base: Insert the five nylon PU wheels into the holes at the end of each leg of the star base. Push firmly until they click into place.
2. Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the star base.
3. Attach Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the seat cushion assembly onto the top of the gas lift cylinder. Ensure it is centered and stable.
4. Connect Backrest to Seat: Align the backrest with the mounting points on the seat. Secure it using the provided screws and Allen key. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
5. Install Headrest: Slide the headrest into the designated slots at the top of the backrest. Adjust to your preferred height.

4. Operating Instructions

Your MELOKEA office chair offers several adjustments to customize your seating experience for maximum comfort and ergonomic support.

4.1. Height Adjustment

• To raise the seat: While standing, pull the lever located under the right side of the seat upwards. The seat will rise automatically. Release the lever at your desired height.
• To lower the seat: While seated, pull the lever located under the right side of the seat upwards. The seat will lower. Release the lever at your desired height.

4.2. Tilt Function and Lock

• To recline: Pull the lever under the seat outwards to unlock the tilt mechanism. Lean back to recline the chair between 90° and 115°.
• To lock the tilt: Push the lever inwards to lock the backrest in an upright position (90°).

4.3. Tilt Tension Adjustment

• To increase tension: Turn the round knob located under the front of the seat clockwise. This makes it harder to recline.
• To decrease tension: Turn the round knob counter-clockwise. This makes it easier to recline.

4.4. Headrest Adjustment

• The headrest can be adjusted vertically by pulling it up or pushing it down. It has approximately 2.4 inches (6 cm) of vertical adjustment to suit various user heights.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your MELOKEA office chair.

• Cleaning: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains on fabric or mesh, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then wipe dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary.
• Wheels: Keep the wheels free of hair and debris to ensure smooth movement.
• Avoid Overloading: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 330 lbs (150 kg).
• Sunlight Exposure: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading of fabric and mesh.
