Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your G-Shock watch.
Water Resistance
Your watch is rated for 200-meter water resistance. This means it is suitable for recreational scuba diving. However, avoid operating buttons underwater, as this can compromise the water seal. After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch thoroughly with fresh water and wipe it dry.

Cleaning
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For resin bands and cases, a mild soap solution and a soft brush can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses one CR2016 lithium battery, with an approximate life of 3 years. When the display becomes dim or the backlight weakens, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Casio service center to ensure proper water resistance sealing.
Troubleshooting
- Blank Display: If the display is blank, the battery may be depleted. Replace the battery.
- Incorrect Time: Ensure your Home City Code and DST settings are correct. Refer to the "Time and Date Setting" section.
- Buttons Not Responding: Ensure the watch is not in a setting mode where buttons are locked. If the issue persists, a battery removal and re-insertion (AC reset) might be necessary, but it is recommended to consult a service center.
- Water Inside Display: If moisture appears inside the watch, stop using it immediately and take it to an authorized service center for inspection. This indicates a compromised water seal.
