5.3 Water Supply Connection
- Connect the hot and cold water supply lines from the faucet to your home's water supply valves. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench for a quarter turn. Do not overtighten.
- Ensure the hot water line is connected to the hot supply and the cold water line to the cold supply.
5.4 Drain Assembly Installation
- Install the drain assembly according to the separate instructions provided with the drain.
- Important Note: This drain assembly is designed for sinks with an overflow. If your sink is a vessel sink without an overflow, this drain will not function correctly and may cause leaks. Ensure your sink type is compatible.
5.5 Final Steps
- Once all connections are made, slowly turn on the main water supply.
- Check for any leaks at all connection points. Tighten gently if necessary.
- Remove the aerator from the faucet spout and turn on the water to flush out any debris from the lines. Run water for approximately one minute.
- Turn off the water, reattach the aerator, and test the faucet for proper operation.
6. Operation
The Moen Cia Faucet features a single handle for easy control of water flow and temperature.
- To Turn On/Off: Lift the handle upwards to turn on the water. Push the handle downwards to turn off the water.
- To Adjust Temperature: Move the handle to the left for hot water and to the right for cold water. The further left or right the handle is moved, the hotter or colder the water will be.
- To Adjust Flow: The height to which the handle is lifted controls the water flow rate. Lift higher for more flow, lower for less.

7. Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will ensure the lasting beauty and performance of your Moen faucet.
- Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or polishes as these can damage the finish.
- Aerator Cleaning: If water flow decreases, the aerator may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator from the spout, clean any debris, and rinse thoroughly before reattaching.
- Finish Care: The Chrome finish is designed to be highly reflective and resistant to tarnishing and corrosion. Regular gentle cleaning is sufficient to maintain its appearance.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Flow | Clogged aerator or debris in supply lines. | Clean or replace aerator. Flush supply lines. Ensure shut-off valves are fully open. |
| Leaks from Faucet Base | Loose mounting nut or damaged gasket. | Tighten mounting nut from underneath the sink. Check and replace gaskets if damaged. |
| Leaks from Supply Lines | Loose connections or damaged O-rings. | Ensure supply line connections are tight. Replace O-rings if worn. |
| Water Temperature Not Adjusting | Cartridge issue or incorrect supply line connection. | Verify hot and cold supply lines are connected correctly. If issue persists, the cartridge may need replacement (consult warranty). |
