4. Setup & Installation

The alarm unit can be installed using either the provided double-sided tape or cable ties. Ensure the installation location is not exposed to water to maintain alarm effectiveness.

Installation Steps:

  1. Clean the surface where the alarm unit will be attached.
  2. Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape and firmly press the alarm unit onto the desired location (e.g., bicycle frame, seat post, door/window frame).
  3. Alternatively, use the provided cable ties to secure the alarm unit around a suitable part of your bicycle, such as the handlebar or seat post. Trim any excess cable tie length.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Arming and Disarming

  • Arm: Press the lock button on the remote control once. The alarm unit will emit a 'Beep' sound, indicating it is armed.
  • Disarm: Press the unlock button on the remote control once. The alarm unit will emit a 'Beep' sound, indicating it is disarmed.

5.2 Volume Adjustment

The alarm offers 3 adjustable volume levels. To adjust the volume:

  1. Press and hold the bell button on the remote control until the LED indicator on the remote turns off and then re-illuminates. The alarm unit will continuously beep during this process (ignore the alarm sound).
  2. While in setting mode, repeatedly press the bell button to cycle through the 3 volume levels (high to low). Each press will change the volume.
  3. Release the button to save the desired volume level.

5.3 Sensitivity Adjustment

The alarm has 7 adjustable sensitivity levels. To adjust the sensitivity:

  1. Press and hold the unlock button on the remote control until the LED indicator on the remote turns off and then re-illuminates. The alarm unit will continuously beep during this process (ignore the alarm sound).
  2. While in setting mode, repeatedly press the unlock button to cycle through the 7 sensitivity levels (high to low). Each press will change the sensitivity, indicated by a different number of beeps (e.g., 7 beeps for highest, 1 beep for lowest).
  3. Release the button to save the desired sensitivity level.

5.4 SOS Function

The SOS function is OFF by default. To activate or deactivate it:

  1. Press and hold the bell button on the remote control until the LED indicator on the remote turns off and then re-illuminates. The alarm unit will continuously beep during this process.
  2. Press the lightning bolt button once. The alarm unit will emit one 'Bi' sound, entering calibration mode.
  3. The alarm unit will then emit 5 'Bi' beeps if the SOS function is correctly adjusted and turned ON. If it emits two long 'Bi...Bi' sounds, it indicates a calibration error, and the SOS function will not be ON. The host needs to be placed in a static mode before performing SOS calibration.

When the SOS function is ON, if the bicycle tilts beyond 45 degrees in a non-alert state, the alarm will automatically sound to call for help.

5.5 Vehicle Search Function

Press the bell button on the remote control to make the alarm unit emit a sound, helping you locate your vehicle in a crowded area.

6. Battery Information & Replacement

The alarm unit and remote controls come with pre-installed batteries.

  • Alarm Unit Battery: 3 x AAA dry cell batteries. Expected life: 1-3 months with daily use, approximately 6 months in continuous standby.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Alarm not responding to remote: Check remote control battery. Replace if necessary and re-match the remote with the alarm unit.

  • False alarms: Adjust sensitivity settings as described in Section 5.3. Ensure the alarm is installed in a stable location.
