Tilt Mode (Angle Range Compensation)
The Tilt mode provides angle range compensation, giving you the true horizontal distance to your target, which is crucial for accurate shots on inclines or declines.
- To activate Tilt mode, press the Mode button until the Tilt indicator appears on the display.
- Take a measurement as usual. The displayed distance will be the compensated distance.
Scan Mode
Scan mode allows for continuous ranging of multiple targets or a moving target. This is useful for quickly assessing distances to various obstacles or potential targets in a field of view.
- Press and hold the Power On/Range button.
- Pan the rangefinder across the desired area. The display will continuously update with distances to objects in the reticle's path.
- Release the button to exit Scan mode.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and clarity of the optics:
- Gently brush away any loose dirt or dust from the lenses using a soft lens brush.
- Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe the lens surfaces. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning fluid can be applied to the cloth (not directly to the lens).
- Clean the body of the rangefinder with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Storage
When not in use, store the rangefinder in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, it is recommended to remove the battery to prevent leakage.
Weather Resistance
The Simmons ProHunter 750 is designed to be weatherproof, allowing it to perform reliably in rain, fog, or shine. While it can withstand outdoor elements, it is not intended for submersion in water.
Troubleshooting
- No Display/Power: Check battery installation and ensure the battery is not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the target is within the effective range (up to 750 yards). Make sure the laser path is clear and not obstructed. Environmental factors like heavy fog or rain can affect accuracy.
- Display Flickering: This may indicate a low battery. Replace the battery.
- No Response from Buttons: Try removing and reinserting the battery. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
