- Secure the Window Kit: Place the assembled window kit into the window opening and close the window securely against it to hold it in place. Ensure there are no significant gaps to prevent air leakage.
- Attach the Exhaust Hose: Connect one end of the exhaust hose to the designated port on the back of the portable AC unit. Twist or push firmly until it clicks into place.
- Connect Hose to Window Kit: Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the opening in the window installation plate. Ensure a tight seal to vent hot air effectively outside.
- Position the Unit: Place the portable AC unit on a flat, stable surface near the window, ensuring the exhaust hose is not kinked or excessively bent. Maintain adequate clearance around the unit for proper airflow (refer to specifications for recommended distances).

7. Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your portable AC unit.
7.1. Cleaning the Air Filter
The unit features a removable and washable air filter. It is recommended to clean the filter regularly, especially during periods of frequent use, to maintain air quality and cooling efficiency.
- Turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Locate the air filter compartment, typically on the back or side of the unit.
- Carefully remove the air filter.
- Wash the filter under running water (lukewarm) or use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. For heavy dirt, a mild detergent can be used.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose to direct sunlight or excessive heat.

7.2. Draining Water
While the unit features automatic self-evaporation technology in cooling mode, some water accumulation may occur, especially in high humidity environments or when using the dehumidifier mode. The unit will typically alert you when the water tank is full.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Locate the drain outlet at the bottom of the unit.
- Place a shallow pan or tray beneath the drain outlet.
- Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
- Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
Note: Some users have reported the drain outlet being very low to the ground. Ensure you have a sufficiently shallow container or elevate the unit slightly if needed for draining.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not turn on. | No power, full water tank, or safety delay. | Check power connection. Drain water if tank is full. Wait 3 minutes after turning off before restarting. |
| Insufficient cooling. | Dirty air filter, blocked air intake/exhaust, room size too large, open windows/doors, high ambient temperature. | Clean air filter. Ensure unit has proper clearance. Close windows/doors. Unit may not be effective above 104°F (40°C). |
| Loud noise. | Unit not on a flat surface, internal components vibrating. | Ensure unit is on a stable, level surface. Some operational noise is normal (approx. 57 dBa). |
| Water leakage. | Drain plug not secured, unit not level, or excessive condensation. | Ensure drain plug is tightly closed. Check if unit is level. Drain water if tank is full. |
| Window kit does not fit. | Window dimensions outside kit's adjustable range. | The window kit is adjustable but may require modification (e.g., cutting) for certain window sizes. Ensure proper sealing around the kit. |
| Remote control not syncing. | Battery issue, or conflict with manual panel settings. | Replace remote batteries. If using both remote and panel, ensure consistency as settings may revert to the last used method. |
