Setup and Installation
Warning: Installation should only be performed by a qualified plumber or electrician to ensure safety and proper functioning. Incorrect installation can lead to electric shock, water leakage, or damage to the appliance.
- Site Selection: Choose a suitable location for the water heater. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for maintenance and servicing (e.g., 50 cm from sides, 1.8 m from the ground). The wall must be strong enough to support the weight of the water heater when full.
- Mounting:
- Use the provided mounting bracket reference sticker to mark the drilling points on the wall. Ensure the sticker is perfectly leveled vertically before marking.
- Drill two holes using a 10 mm concrete drill bit to a depth of 70 mm to 75 mm.
- Insert the wall mounting accessories (hooks/screws) into the drilled holes and secure them firmly.
- Carefully hang the water heater unit onto the secured wall mounts.
- Water Connections:
- Connect the cold water inlet (usually marked blue) to your cold water supply using one of the provided flexi pipes.
- Connect the hot water outlet (usually marked red) to your hot water tap using the other flexi pipe.
- Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
- Filling the Tank: Before connecting to power, open a hot water tap in your bathroom to allow air to escape and the tank to fill with water. Once water flows steadily from the hot water tap, close the tap.
- Electrical Connection:
- Plug the water heater's power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Ensure the Shock Safe Plug is properly connected and functioning. Test the Shock Safe Plug as per its instructions before initial use.
Operating Instructions
- Power On: Ensure the water heater is properly installed and filled with water. Switch on the main power supply to the appliance.
- Set Temperature: Use the temperature sensing LED knob on the front panel to set your desired water temperature. Rotate the knob to adjust. The LED ring will change color to indicate the current water temperature:
- Blue: Cold/Warm water
- Green: Moderately warm water
- Red: Hot water
- Heating Process: The water heater will begin heating the water to the set temperature. The LED indicator will reflect the heating status.
- Hot Water Usage: Once the desired temperature is reached, the water heater will maintain it. You can now draw hot water from your taps.
- Power Off: When hot water is no longer needed, switch off the power supply to the water heater.
Maintenance
Caution: Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
- Anode Rod Inspection/Replacement: The anode rod protects the tank from corrosion. It is recommended to inspect and replace the anode rod annually, especially in areas with hard water, to ensure the longevity of the water heater. This procedure should be performed by a qualified technician.
- Draining the Tank: If the water heater will not be used for an extended period or if there is a risk of freezing, drain the tank completely. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full user manual for the draining procedure.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the water heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Safety Valve: Periodically check the pressure relief valve (safety valve) to ensure it is not blocked and is functioning correctly.
