Before You Begin:
- Ensure you have adequate space under your sink (dimensions: 12 inches x 4.1 inches).
- Turn off the cold water supply valve under your sink.
- Open your kitchen faucet to relieve water pressure and drain any remaining water.
- Have a towel and a bucket ready to catch any drips.
Installation Steps:
- Disconnect Cold Water Line: Disconnect the existing cold water supply line from your kitchen faucet to the cold water supply valve.
- Install Adapters:
- Apply Teflon tape to the threads of the 1/2"-3/8" feed water adapter.
- Connect the adapter to the cold water supply valve.
- Connect the original cold water supply line to the adapter.
- Connect Inlet Tube to Adapter: Connect one end of the provided 3/8" inlet tube to the remaining port on the feed water adapter. Secure with a lock clip.
- Connect Inlet Tube to Filter System: Connect the other end of the 3/8" inlet tube to the "IN" port on the filter head. Ensure a secure connection and use a lock clip.
- Connect Outlet Tube to Faucet: Connect the second 3/8" inlet tube to the "OUT" port on the filter head. Connect the other end of this tube to the cold water inlet of your kitchen faucet. Secure with lock clips.
- Mount the Filter (Optional): The system can stand freely. If desired, use the drill sticker and screws to mount the bracket to the cabinet wall under the sink, then secure the filter housing to the bracket.
- Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the cold water supply valve. Check all connections for leaks. Tighten any leaking connections gently.
- Flush the System: Let the water run from your kitchen faucet for 10 minutes to flush the new filter. This removes air and carbon fines.
