Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Placement: Place the piano on a stable, flat surface.
3. Music Rest Installation: Insert the music rest into the designated slots on the piano.
4. Sustain Pedal Connection: Connect the sustain pedal cable to the "PEDAL" jack on the rear panel.

5. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the "DC 12V" input on the rear panel, then plug it into a wall outlet.
6. Headphone Connection: For private practice, connect standard stereo headphones to either "PHONES 1" or "PHONES 2" jacks.
7. Audio Output: To connect to an external amplifier or PA system, use the "AUDIO OUT" jacks.
8. Audio Input: To connect an external audio source (e.g., MP3 player) to play along, use the "AUDIO IN" jacks.
9. USB/MIDI Connection: Connect a USB cable from the "USB-MIDI" port to your computer for MIDI data transfer. The "UDISK" port is for USB storage devices.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off: Press the "POWER" button to turn the instrument on or off.
2. Volume Adjustment: Use the "VOLUME" knob to adjust the overall sound level.
3. Sound Selection:
   • The DP-88 features 140 different sounds.

4. Dual Mode: Press the "DUAL" button to activate Dual Mode, allowing two sounds to be played simultaneously. Select the first sound, then press "DUAL" again and select the second sound.
5. Split Mode: Press the "SPLIT" button to divide the keyboard into two sections, each with a different sound. The split point can usually be adjusted.
6. Metronome: Press the "METRONOME" button to activate the metronome. Use the "TEMPO" controls to adjust the tempo.
