Setup: Installation Guide

Before beginning installation, ensure the power to the light fixture's circuit is turned OFF at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock. It is recommended to have a qualified electrician perform the installation if you are unfamiliar with electrical wiring.

  1. Prepare the Mounting Location: Ensure the electrical box is securely mounted and the wiring is accessible.
  2. Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the provided mounting plate to the electrical box using the supplied screws.
  3. Wire Connections: Connect the fixture's wires to your household wiring according to standard electrical codes (black to black, white to white, ground to ground). Use the provided wire nuts to secure connections.
  4. Mount the Fixture: Carefully align the fixture with the mounting plate and secure it with the provided screws.
  5. Install Bulb: Insert a compatible E26 dimmable bulb (not included) into the socket. The open bottom design allows for easy access.
  6. Restore Power: Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker.

Important Note on Hardware: The supplied fastening screws are M4 0.7-28. While they may thread onto standard 8-32 conduit box threads, it is advisable to replace them with 8-32 screws and a corresponding acorn nut if a more secure or standard fit is desired.

Operating Instructions

Your TOBUSA Motion Sensor Outdoor Lights feature three distinct operating modes, easily selectable using your existing wall switch:

  • Auto Mode (Security Lights):
    • At dusk, the light will automatically turn on at 20% brightness.
    • When motion is detected, the light will illuminate to 100% brightness.
    • After approximately 2 minutes of no motion, the light will dim back to 20% brightness.
  • Auto+ Mode (Energy Saving):
    • The light will remain off until motion is detected.
    • When motion is detected, the light will illuminate to 100% brightness.
    • After approximately 2 minutes of no motion, the light will turn off completely.
  • Manual Override Mode:
    • To activate, quickly switch the wall switch OFF and then ON within 2 seconds.
    • The light will stay on at 100% brightness for approximately 8 hours, regardless of motion or ambient light.
    • This mode is useful for extended periods of illumination, such as during outdoor gatherings.

The advanced motion sensor provides a longer 40FT sensing distance and a wider 220° sensing angle for comprehensive coverage.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the optimal performance and longevity of your outdoor lights:

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the fixture with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or glass.
  • Bulb Replacement: Thanks to the considerate open bottom design, you can easily replace the E26 bulb without dismounting the entire fixture. Ensure power is off before changing bulbs.
  • Inspection: Annually inspect the wiring and connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or damage. Ensure the fixture is securely mounted.

The anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties of the metal and aluminum construction minimize the need for extensive maintenance, ensuring the lights withstand various weather conditions.
