- Felling: Plan your felling direction. Make a directional notch on the side of the fall, then a felling cut from the opposite side, slightly above the notch.
- Limbing: Work from the bottom up, supporting the branch if necessary to prevent pinching.
- Bucking: Cut logs into desired lengths. Be mindful of tension in the wood to avoid pinching the guide bar.
