MohMus Filter Set Instruction Manual

Compatible with Tefal TW3786HA/4Q0 and Rowenta ZR006001 Compact Power Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaners

1. Introduction

This instruction manual provides essential information for the proper installation and maintenance of your MohMus compatible filter set. This set includes one pre-motor filter (washable) and one HEPA post-motor filter, designed to maintain the filtration efficiency and performance of your compatible Tefal or Rowenta Compact Power Cyclonic vacuum cleaner.

Regular replacement and cleaning of your vacuum cleaner filters are crucial for optimal suction power, effective dust retention, and maintaining healthy indoor air quality. These filters are high-quality, durable replacement parts.

2. Setup and Installation

Before installing the new filters, ensure your vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the power outlet. Refer to your vacuum cleaner's original instruction manual for specific details on how to access the filter compartments, as locations may vary by model.

General Installation Steps:

  1. Locate the pre-motor filter compartment, typically found near the dust bin.
  2. Remove the old pre-motor filter.
  3. Insert the new MohMus pre-motor filter, ensuring it is seated correctly and securely.
  4. Locate the post-motor (HEPA) filter compartment, often at the rear or side of the vacuum cleaner.
  5. Remove the old HEPA filter.
  6. Insert the new MohMus HEPA post-motor filter, ensuring a tight seal.
  7. Close all filter compartments securely before operating the vacuum cleaner.

3. Operating

Once the filters are correctly installed and all compartments are securely closed, your vacuum cleaner is ready for normal operation. The new filters will ensure efficient dust collection and air purification during use.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance of your filters is essential for prolonging their lifespan and ensuring consistent vacuum performance.

Pre-Motor Filter (Washable):

  • It is recommended to clean the pre-motor filter regularly, typically after every 4-6 uses or when you notice a decrease in suction.
  • To clean, carefully remove the pre-motor filter from its compartment. If your pre-motor filter includes a separate foam component, remove the foam.
  • Wash the foam and/or the entire pre-motor filter thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents or hot water.
  • Gently squeeze out excess water.
  • Allow the filter to air dry completely for approximately 12 hours before reinserting it into the vacuum cleaner. Ensure it is absolutely dry to prevent mold growth and damage to the vacuum.

HEPA Post-Motor Filter:

  • The HEPA post-motor filter is generally not washable and should be replaced periodically.
  • It is recommended to replace the HEPA filter every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage frequency and household environment (e.g., presence of pets, allergies).
  • Inspect the filter regularly for visible dirt or damage. A heavily soiled or damaged HEPA filter should be replaced immediately.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your vacuum cleaner after filter replacement, consider the following:

  • Reduced Suction Power: Check if the filters are correctly installed and seated. Ensure the washable pre-motor filter is clean and completely dry. A heavily clogged filter will restrict airflow and reduce suction.
  • Unusual Odors: This can indicate that filters are dirty or have not dried properly after washing. Clean or replace filters as necessary.
  • Vacuum Not Starting: While rare for filters to cause this, ensure all filter compartments are securely closed. Some vacuum models have safety interlocks that prevent operation if compartments are open.

If problems persist, consult your vacuum cleaner's original user manual or contact the vacuum cleaner manufacturer's support.
