Installation
The VIGO Apollo faucet is designed for straightforward DIY installation. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Prepare the Sink: Ensure your sink or countertop has a single 1-3/8 inch diameter hole. The maximum compatible deck thickness is 2 inches.
- Turn Off Water Supply: Locate and turn off the hot and cold water supply valves under the sink or at the main water line.
- Mount the Faucet: Insert the faucet body into the sink hole. Secure it from underneath the sink using the provided mounting hardware (washer and nut). Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
- Connect Water Supply Lines: Connect the integrated 3/8-inch PEX supply lines from the faucet to your hot and cold water supply valves. Ensure the hot water line connects to the hot supply and the cold to the cold. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench for a quarter turn.
- Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the hot and cold water supply valves. Check all connections for any signs of leaks. If leaks occur, gently tighten the connections until they stop.
- Flush the Faucet: Remove the aerator from the spout (refer to Maintenance section). Turn on the faucet and let water run for a few minutes to flush out any debris from the lines. Reinstall the aerator.

Operation
The VIGO Apollo faucet features an integrated activation button and a turning knob for water control:
- Water Flow On/Off: Press the button located on top of the faucet to turn the water flow on or off.
- Temperature Adjustment: Rotate the knurled knob at the top of the faucet to adjust the water temperature. Turning it clockwise typically decreases temperature (colder), while counter-clockwise increases temperature (warmer).

Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will help preserve the finish and functionality of your VIGO Apollo faucet.
- Cleaning the Finish: The matte black finish is designed to resist water marks and fingerprints. To clean, use a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Aerator Cleaning: Periodically, the aerator located at the tip of the spout may accumulate mineral deposits, leading to reduced water flow. To clean:
- Unscrew the knurled aerator housing from the spout.
- Remove the aerator insert and rinse it under running water.
- If necessary, soak the aerator in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water to dissolve mineral deposits.
- Rinse thoroughly and reassemble.
- Ceramic Disc Cartridge: The faucet features an ultra-durable Sedal ceramic disc valve, tested for 500,000 uses, ensuring reliable performance. No regular maintenance is typically required for the cartridge.
