Product Overview
The ASUS ROG Spatha X is a high-performance wireless gaming mouse designed for precision and customization. It features dual-mode connectivity, a high-DPI optical sensor, and programmable buttons.

Key components include:
- Left/Right Click Buttons: Main mouse buttons.
- Scroll Wheel: For vertical scrolling and as a clickable button.
- DPI Cycle Button: Located behind the scroll wheel, for on-the-fly DPI adjustment.
- Side Buttons: Up to six programmable buttons on the left side, arranged in a pattern resembling the ROG eye.
- USB-C Port: For wired connection and charging.
- Power/Mode Switch: Located on the underside, to switch between wired, wireless, and off modes.

Setup
1. Charging the Mouse
Before initial use, it is recommended to fully charge the mouse. The ROG Spatha X offers two charging methods:
- Magnetic Charging Stand: Connect the USB-C cable to the charging stand and a USB port on your computer or a power adapter. Place the mouse onto the stand; it will magnetically align and begin charging.
- Direct USB-C Connection: Connect the USB-C cable directly from the mouse to a USB port on your computer. The mouse can be used in wired mode while charging.
A full charge provides up to 67 hours of wireless gameplay. A 15-minute charge can provide up to 12 hours of wireless use.

2. Connecting the Mouse
The ROG Spatha X supports dual-mode connectivity: 2.4 GHz wireless and wired USB-C.
Wireless Connection (2.4 GHz RF)
- Locate the USB wireless receiver.
- Plug the USB wireless receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- On the underside of the mouse, slide the power switch to the "Wireless" position.
- The mouse should automatically connect to the receiver. The RGB lighting will indicate successful connection.
Wired Connection (USB-C)
- Connect the USB-C end of the ROG Paracord cable to the mouse.
- Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- On the underside of the mouse, slide the power switch to the "Wired" position.
- The mouse will function immediately in wired mode and will also charge its internal battery.
3. Software Installation (Armoury Crate)
For full customization of DPI settings, button assignments, and RGB lighting, install the ASUS Armoury Crate software. This software can be downloaded from the official ASUS support website.
- Visit the ASUS support website and search for "Armoury Crate".
- Download and run the installer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Once installed, launch Armoury Crate to configure your ROG Spatha X mouse.
Operating Instructions
1. DPI Adjustment
The ROG Spatha X features a 19,000 DPI optical sensor. You can adjust the DPI (Dots Per Inch) sensitivity on-the-fly without software using the DPI cycle button located behind the scroll wheel. Pressing this button will cycle through pre-set DPI levels. These levels can be customized further using the Armoury Crate software.

2. Programmable Buttons
The mouse features 12 programmable buttons, including the main left/right clicks, scroll wheel click, DPI button, and six side buttons. These buttons can be assigned various functions, macros, or shortcuts using the Armoury Crate software.
- Launch Armoury Crate.
- Navigate to the "Mouse" section and select your ROG Spatha X.
- Go to the "Buttons" tab to view and customize button assignments.
- Select a button and choose the desired function from the available options.
- Save your changes.

3. RGB Lighting (Aura Sync)
The ROG Spatha X features customizable Aura RGB lighting. You can personalize the lighting effects, colors, and synchronization with other Aura Sync compatible devices through the Armoury Crate software.
- Launch Armoury Crate.
- Navigate to the "Mouse" section and select your ROG Spatha X.
- Go to the "Lighting" tab to configure RGB effects.
- Choose from various effects, colors, and brightness levels.
- Save your settings.
4. Battery Management
Monitor the battery level through the Armoury Crate software. When the battery is low, the mouse's indicator lights may change color or flash. Recharge the mouse using either the magnetic charging stand or a direct USB-C cable connection.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean your mouse:
- Disconnect the mouse from your computer.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse.
- For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution (avoid harsh chemicals).
- Use a cotton swab or compressed air to clean around buttons and the scroll wheel.
- Ensure the optical sensor on the underside is free of dust and debris.
2. Switch Replacement (Push-Fit Switch Sockets)
The ROG Spatha X features exclusive push-fit switch sockets, allowing you to easily replace the main left and right click switches. This enables customization of click feel or replacement of worn-out switches.

Procedure:
- Ensure the mouse is powered off and disconnected.
- Carefully remove the screws located on the underside of the mouse (often hidden under rubber feet).
- Gently lift the top cover of the mouse.
- Using the included switch tweezers, carefully pull out the existing switch from its socket.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the socket and gently push it in until it is securely seated.
- Replace the top cover and secure it with the screws.
