3. Setup Guide

3.1 Charging Base Placement

Place the charging base against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1 meter (3 feet) to the front and 0.5 meters (1.5 feet) to the sides. Connect the power cord to the charging base and plug it into a power outlet.

3.2 Initial Charging

Place the robot vacuum onto the charging base. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the base. The indicator light on the robot will show charging status. For first-time use, fully charge the robot before operation.

3.3 App Connection

1. Download the Midea MSmartLife APP from your device's app store.
2. Register or log in to your account.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your Midea M7 Robot Vacuum Cleaner. This typically involves pressing the power button on the robot for a few seconds to enter pairing mode.
4. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the pairing process.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting/Pausing Cleaning

• Manual Start: Press the power button on the robot once to start cleaning. Press again to pause.
• App Control: Use the MSmartLife APP to start, pause, or stop cleaning.
• Voice Control: Integrate with Alexa or Google Home (if configured) to start or stop cleaning using voice commands.

4.2 Cleaning Modes

The Midea M7 offers multiple cleaning modes, selectable via the app:

• Auto Cleaning: The robot intelligently navigates and cleans the entire accessible area.
• Spot Cleaning: Focuses on a specific dirty area.
• Edge Cleaning: Cleans along walls and furniture edges.
• Scheduled Cleaning: Set specific times for the robot to clean automatically.
• Mopping Mode: Attach the water tank and mop cloth for wet cleaning.

4.3 Suction Power Adjustment

Adjust the suction power (Min, Mid, Max 4000Pa) via the app to suit different floor types and cleaning requirements. The robot automatically increases suction when detecting carpets.

4.4 Laser Navigation and Mapping

The integrated LDS (Laser Distance Sensor) technology allows the robot to scan and create a detailed map of your home. This map is used for efficient route planning and can be viewed in the MSmartLife APP. You can set virtual boundaries or specific cleaning zones within the app.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.

5.1 Dustbin and Filter Cleaning

Empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle. Remove the HEPA filter and tap it gently to dislodge dust. The filter can be rinsed with water, but ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation.

5.2 Main Brush and Side Brushes

Periodically remove the main V-shaped roller brush and side brushes to clear tangled hair or debris. Use the provided cleaning tool to cut and remove hair from the main brush. Ensure side brushes are free to rotate.

5.3 Water Tank and Mop Cloth

After mopping, empty any remaining water from the water tank and allow it to air dry. Remove and wash the mop cloth. Replace the mop cloth when it shows signs of wear.

5.4 Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe the sensors (cliff sensors, wall sensors, LDS sensor) and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging base with a dry, soft cloth to ensure proper function.
