3. Product Overview

4. Setup

The Aokeo AK-1i microphone offers a simple plug-and-play setup, making it easy to get started quickly.

Connecting the Microphone:

  1. Connect the provided USB cable to the USB-C port on the microphone.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer (PC, Mac), laptop, PS4, or PS5.
  3. The microphone will automatically be recognized by your operating system. No additional drivers are typically required.
  4. The RGB lighting will illuminate, indicating the microphone is powered on and ready for use.

Note: This microphone is not compatible with XBOX consoles.

Positioning the Microphone:

For optimal sound quality, position the microphone with the volume knob facing towards your mouth. The cardioid polar pattern is designed to pick up sound primarily from the front, minimizing background noise.

5. Operating Instructions

Adjusting Volume:

Rotate the multi-function knob clockwise to increase the microphone's input volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

Muting/Unmuting:

Press the multi-function knob once to toggle the mute function. When muted, the RGB light will turn purple. Press again to unmute, and the RGB light will return to its gradient state.

Controlling RGB Lighting:

Long press the multi-function knob to turn the RGB lighting on or off. When on, the microphone displays a dynamic multi-color gradient. When off, the microphone will not emit light.

Headphone Monitoring:

Connect your headphones to the 3.5mm jack on the microphone to monitor your voice in real-time. This allows you to hear your audio output directly from the microphone.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the microphone clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the microphone to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble the microphone, as this may void the warranty.
