4.1 Inserting and Ejecting Discs
- To Insert: Press the eject button on the front of the drive to open the disc tray. Place a CD or DVD onto the tray with the label side facing up. Gently push the tray back into the drive until it clicks shut.
- To Eject: Press the eject button again. Alternatively, you can eject the disc through your computer's operating system (e.g., right-click the drive icon and select "Eject"). In case of power failure or if the eject button does not respond, use a small, pointed object (like a paperclip) to gently press into the forced ejection hole on the front panel.
4.2 Playing Media
After inserting a media disc (CD or DVD), your computer's operating system may prompt you to choose an action (e.g., play with a media player). Select your preferred application to play music, movies, or view data from the disc.
4.3 Burning Discs
To burn data to a CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, or DVD-RW disc, you will need compatible burning software installed on your computer. Follow the instructions provided by your burning software to create data discs, audio CDs, or video DVDs.

7. Troubleshooting
- Drive Not Recognized: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the drive and your computer. Try a different USB port or a different computer to rule out port issues. Restart your computer.
- Disc Not Reading/Writing: Check if the disc is clean and free of scratches or smudges. Ensure the disc is placed correctly in the tray (label side up). Verify that the disc type is supported by the drive (CD-R, DVD-R, etc.). For burning, ensure you have compatible software.
- Slow Performance: Ensure you are connected to a USB 3.0 port for optimal speed. Close unnecessary applications running in the background.
- Disc Stuck: If the eject button is unresponsive, use the forced ejection hole with a paperclip as described in Section 4.1.
8. Care and Maintenance
- Keep the drive clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the drive to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Store the drive in a safe place when not in use to prevent physical damage. The compact design allows for easy storage in a bag.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the drive, as this will void the warranty.
