Feit Electric 6W Rechargeable UV-C Light Wand

1. Important Safety Information

The wand is equipped with a safety protective switch that automatically turns off the UV-C light if it is accidentally turned upward towards the eyes. The device also automatically turns off after 5 minutes of continuous use as a safety precaution.

2. Product Overview

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

The UV-C wand includes a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the device.

1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the wand's charging port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a Class 2, 5VDC, 2.0A USB charger (not included).
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Allow sufficient time for a full charge.

3.2 Initial Power On

After charging, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the device on.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Turning On/Off

• To turn on: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
• To turn off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

4.2 Using the Wand

For effective use, follow these guidelines:

1. Ensure the wand is fully charged.
2. Turn on the wand by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds.
3. Hold the wand approximately 1 to 2 inches from the surface you wish to treat.
4. Slowly wave the wand over the target area for 30 seconds for each 1 inch x 8.5 inch section.
5. The wand will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of continuous use. If additional use is required, simply restart the device.
6. The orientation sensor will automatically shut off the UV-C light if the wand is flipped 90 degrees upwards, preventing accidental eye exposure.

Recommended uses include door knobs, handles, kitchen surfaces, work surfaces, keypads, and phones.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the wand, gently wipe the exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse the device in water.

5.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, recharge the device regularly, especially if it has not been used for an extended period. Avoid fully depleting the battery before recharging.

6. Troubleshooting

• Device does not turn on: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
• Light turns off unexpectedly: The device has a 5-minute automatic shut-off feature. It also turns off if pointed upwards due to the orientation sensor. Restart the device if needed. Ensure the wand is held correctly during operation.
• Short battery life: Ensure the device is fully charged before use. Battery performance may decrease over time with repeated charging cycles.
