2. Safety Instructions
WARNING: Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this tool. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, when operating the glue gun.
- The nozzle and melted glue become very hot. Avoid direct contact with skin to prevent burns.
- Place the glue gun on its stand when not in use to prevent hot glue from dripping onto surfaces.
- Ensure the glue gun is unplugged and completely cooled before performing any maintenance or storage.
3. Product Overview
The Ingco GG148 glue gun features a robust design for reliable performance. Below is an image illustrating the main components of the device.

Figure 1: Ingco GG148 100 Watt Glue Gun. This image shows the yellow glue gun with its black nozzle, trigger, and integrated stand.
Key components include the heating element, nozzle, trigger for glue advancement, and a stable stand for safe resting.
4. Setup
- Insert Glue Stick: Ensure the glue gun is unplugged. Insert a standard-sized glue stick into the opening at the rear of the gun until it stops.
- Position Stand: Extend the integrated stand at the front of the glue gun to ensure it rests securely on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (220-240 Volt, 60 Hz).
Allow the glue gun to preheat for approximately 3-5 minutes before use. The heating element will melt the glue stick, preparing it for application.
5. Operating Instructions
- Preheat: After plugging in, allow the glue gun to heat up for 3-5 minutes.
- Apply Glue: Gently squeeze the trigger to advance the glue stick and dispense melted glue from the nozzle. Apply the glue to one of the surfaces to be bonded.
- Join Surfaces: Immediately press the two surfaces together firmly. Hot glue sets quickly, so work efficiently.
- Refill Glue Stick: When the current glue stick is nearly depleted, insert a new one into the rear opening. The new stick will push the old one through.
- Finish Use: When finished, unplug the glue gun and place it on its stand to cool completely before storage. Do not pull out partially used glue sticks from the rear.
For best results, ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust or grease before applying adhesive.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Ensure the glue gun is unplugged and completely cool. Gently wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Nozzle Care: Never attempt to clean the nozzle while the glue gun is hot. If the nozzle becomes clogged, allow the gun to cool, then carefully remove any hardened glue from the tip using a small, non-metallic tool.
- Storage: Store the glue gun in a dry, safe place, out of reach of children. Ensure the cord is not kinked or wrapped tightly around the tool.
- Cord Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, such as cuts or fraying. If damaged, have it repaired by a qualified technician.
7. Troubleshooting
