Troubleshooting

Keyboard Not Connecting

  • Ensure the keyboard is powered on and fully charged.
  • Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad.
  • Go to iPad Settings > Bluetooth and ensure "typecase Keyboard" is listed as "Connected." If not, try to "Forget This Device" and re-pair.
  • Restart both your iPad and the keyboard.

Trackpad Issues

  • If the trackpad is unresponsive, ensure it is enabled in your iPad's settings: Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch (ensure it's off if you prefer standard trackpad behavior, or configure it if you use it).
  • Some users report needing to physically click the trackpad rather than just tapping. This is a design characteristic.
  • If accidental touches occur while typing, consider disabling the trackpad temporarily via iPad settings or using an external mouse.

Keys Not Responding or Lagging

  • Ensure the keyboard is fully charged. Low battery can affect performance.
  • Verify the Bluetooth connection is stable.
  • Clean any debris from around the keys.
  • If specific keys are not working, try restarting the keyboard and iPad.

Auto Sleep/Wake Not Functioning

  • Ensure your iPad is properly seated in the case.
  • Check iPad settings: Settings > Display & Brightness > Lock/Unlock (ensure this is enabled).
