The inverter can be fixed to a wall using recommended M5 screws. Alternatively, for temporary setups or specific mounting panels, zip ties can be used for securing the unit.

3. Wiring Preparation

Before starting the wiring process, prepare the following cables and circuit breakers according to the specifications:

  • Battery Cables: Two 2AWG wires (one red for positive, one black for negative).
  • AC Input/Output Cables: Three 10AWG wires for AC input (Live, Neutral, Ground) and two 10AWG wires for AC output (Live, Neutral).
  • PV Input Cables: Two 12AWG wires (one red for positive, one black for negative).
  • Grounding Cable: One 11AWG wire for grounding the device.

It is highly recommended to use different colored wires for positive, negative, neutral, live, and grounding connections to prevent reverse connection and other potential errors.

PowMr Solar Inverter Wiring Diagram

Figure 5: Detailed wiring diagram for the PowMr Solar Inverter, illustrating connections for generator, utility, solar panels, battery, and AC output loads.

Ensure you have the following circuit breakers:

  • Two DC circuit breakers (rated at 25A and 160A)
  • Two AC circuit breakers (rated at 40A)

4. Connecting the Cables

Follow these steps to connect the cables:

  1. Battery Cables: Remove the port cover by unscrewing the two screws. Connect the positive battery cable to the positive terminal and the negative battery cable to the negative terminal. Ensure a firm and secure connection.
  2. PV Input Cables: Connect the solar panel cables to the PV input terminals.
  3. AC Input/Output Cables: Connect the AC input cables (Live, Neutral, Ground) to the AC IN terminals and the AC output cables (Live, Neutral) to the AC OUT terminals.
  4. Grounding: Properly ground the inverter using the grounding port on the unit. Keep the grounding point as close as possible to the inverter for maximum effectiveness.

After completing all wiring steps, double-check all connections for any reversals and ensure they are firmly and securely connected. Once verified, reattach the bottom cover of the inverter using the provided screws.

5. Powering On

After all connections are secure, close the circuit breaker at the battery terminal, then close the circuit breakers at both the PV input and AC input terminals. Lastly, close the circuit breaker at the AC output terminal. Finally, flip the boat-shaped switch located at the bottom of the inverter to the "ON" position to power it on.

If both indicator lights (AC/INV and Charge) continue to flash normally, and the fault indicator light remains inactive, it indicates that the inverter has successfully entered its normal operating state.
