5. Setup

5.1 Initial Installation

  1. Choose a Location: Select a central location for the Hub, away from metal objects and strong radio interference, to ensure optimal wireless coverage for all connected devices.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the Hub and plug it into a power outlet (AC 110~250 V). The Hub will power on automatically.
  3. Network Connection:
    • Ethernet: Connect an Ethernet cable from the Hub to your router.
    • Wi-Fi: Configure Wi-Fi settings via the Ajax Security System mobile application after initial setup.
    • SIM Cards: Insert up to two 3G SIM cards into the designated slots on the back of the Hub for cellular backup communication.
  4. Mounting: Use the provided mounting kit to securely attach the Hub to a wall. Ensure the tamper switch on the back is pressed when mounted to detect unauthorized removal.

  1. Download App: Download the "Ajax Security System" app from your mobile device's app store (iOS/Android).
  2. Create Account: Register a new user account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Add Hub: In the app, select "Add Hub" and scan the QR code located on the back of the Hub or enter its ID manually.
  4. Configure Settings: Follow the on-screen prompts to configure network settings (if using Wi-Fi), user permissions, and add security devices (detectors, keypads, etc.).
