5.2 Feeding Your Baby
- Ensure the nipple is securely attached to the bottle.
- Present the nipple to your baby. The Natural Response Nipple is designed to only release milk when your baby actively sucks, similar to breastfeeding.
- Observe your baby's feeding rhythm. When your baby pauses to swallow and breathe, the milk flow will stop, preventing gulping and discomfort.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and sterilization are crucial for your baby's health.
6.1 Cleaning
- Disassemble all bottle parts (bottle, screw ring, nipple, dome cap).
- Wash all components thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Use a bottle brush for the bottle and a small nipple brush for the nipple to ensure all milk residue is removed.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water.
- The bottles are dishwasher safe. Place all components on the top rack of your dishwasher for cleaning.
6.2 Sterilization
After cleaning, sterilize all parts using one of the following methods:
- Boiling: Place all parts in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes. Ensure all parts are fully submerged and do not touch the sides of the pot to prevent damage.
- Steam Sterilizer: Use a Philips Avent steam sterilizer or another suitable sterilizer according to its instructions.
- Microwave Sterilizer: Use a microwave sterilizer according to its instructions.
Allow parts to cool before handling. Store assembled bottles in a clean, dry place.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Baby struggling with milk flow
- It is natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle or nipple.
- If your baby seems frustrated or is playing with the nipple instead of drinking, consider trying a higher nipple flow rate.
- If milk is leaking from your baby's mouth or your baby is gulping, consider trying a lower nipple flow rate.
