4. Setup and Assembly

4.1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the battery. Ensure the charger is connected to a power outlet and the battery is securely inserted into the charger.

1. Plug the charger into a suitable power outlet.
2. Slide the battery pack onto the charger until it clicks into place.
3. The charging indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Refer to the charger's specific manual for light indications.
4. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

4.2. SFMCH900 Rotary Hammer Setup

1. Attaching the Side Handle: Loosen the side handle clamp, slide the handle onto the tool's neck, and tighten it in a comfortable working position.
2. Inserting Drill Bits (SDS-Plus): Pull back the chuck collar, insert the SDS-Plus drill bit until it locks, then release the collar. Pull on the bit to ensure it is securely seated.
3. Inserting Battery: Slide a charged V20 battery into the base of the tool until it clicks.

1. Attaching the Side Handle: Screw the side handle into one of the three available positions on the grinder head.
2. Mounting the Grinding Disc:
   • Ensure the tool is switched off and the battery is removed.
   • Press the spindle lock button.
   • Place the inner flange onto the spindle.
   • Place the grinding disc onto the inner flange.

1. Selecting Mode: The SFMCH900 offers three modes:
   • Rotation (Drill Only): For drilling in wood, metal, and plastics.
   • Percussion (Hammer Drill): For drilling in masonry and concrete.

   Rotate the mode selector switch to the desired setting.
