Maintenance
Water Resistance (50M WR)
Your Casio W218H watch is water resistant up to 50 meters. This means it is suitable for everyday use, including hand washing, rain, and brief immersion in water, such as showering or swimming in shallow water. It is not recommended for diving or prolonged underwater activities. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
Battery
The watch is powered by a single Lithium Metal battery (CR2016, included) with an approximate 7-year battery life. When the display becomes dim or functions become unreliable, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.
Cleaning
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild soap, then wipe dry. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents as they may damage the watch's case or band.
Troubleshooting
- Incorrect Time/Date: Refer to the "Time and Date Setting" section to re-adjust. Ensure the 12/24-hour format is set correctly.
- Display is Dim or Blank: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery as soon as possible.
- Alarm Not Sounding: Check if the alarm (AL) and hourly time signal (SIG) indicators are active in Alarm Mode. Ensure the alarm time is set correctly.
- Water Inside Display: If moisture appears inside the watch, stop using it immediately and have it inspected by a qualified service center to prevent further damage.
