5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning Lenses
Use the provided lens cleaning cloth to gently wipe the lenses. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, which can damage the lens coatings. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning fluid designed for optics can be applied to the cloth.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store your binoculars in the included carrying case. Ensure the lens covers are in place to protect the optics from dust and scratches. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
5.3 Protection
Always keep the objective lens covers and eyepiece covers on when the binoculars are not in use. This prevents dust, moisture, and accidental damage to the delicate lens surfaces.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Unclear or Double Image
If you experience an unclear or double image, re-adjust the interpupillary distance and re-focus the binoculars using the central focus wheel and diopter adjustment as described in Section 3.3. Ensure the binoculars have not been subjected to severe impact, which could misalign the internal optics.
6.2 Fogging Lenses
While the binoculars are fog-proof, extreme temperature changes can sometimes cause temporary fogging. Allow the binoculars to acclimate to the ambient temperature. Do not attempt to disassemble the binoculars.
