YiBiChin L336 Universal IR Learning Remote Control

1. Product Overview

The YiBiChin L336 Universal IR Learning Remote Control is designed to consolidate the functions of up to three original infrared remote controls into a single, convenient device. It utilizes an advanced intelligent chipset for fast and precise learning, making it compatible with a wide range of home entertainment systems such as TVs, VCRs, SAT, CBL, STR-T, DVD, VCD, CD, and Hi-Fi equipment. This remote is ideal for simplifying your control experience by reducing the number of remotes needed.

2. Setup

2.1. Battery Installation

The YiBiChin L336 remote control requires two AA batteries for operation. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the remote control.
2. Insert two new AA batteries, matching the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals as indicated inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2. Initial Power On

After installing the batteries, the remote is ready for the learning process. There is no separate power-on button for the remote itself; it activates upon button press.

3. Operating Instructions

The L336 remote control is designed to learn functions from your existing infrared remote controls. It can store commands for up to three different devices (TV, SAT, DVD).

3.1. Learning Procedures

Before starting, ensure your original remote control is functional and has fresh batteries. The L336 can only learn from working infrared remote controls. It cannot learn Bluetooth or USB functions.

1. Hold down the device key you want to program on the L336 (e.g., TV, SAT, or DVD) until the indicator light on the L336 turns on. Then release the key.
2. Place the L336 and your original remote control head-to-head, approximately 1 inch apart.
3. Press the key on your original remote control that you wish to teach to the L336. The L336's indicator light will flash quickly, indicating it is ready to learn.
4. Press the corresponding key on the L336 where you want to store this function. The indicator light on the L336 will turn on solid, confirming the learning was successful.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for any other keys you want to learn for the selected device.
6. To exit the learning mode, press the device key (TV, SAT, or DVD) again. The indicator light will turn off.

3.2. Switching Between Devices

Once functions are learned, you can switch between controlling your TV, SAT, or DVD player by pressing the respective device key at the top of the L336 remote (TV, SAT, DVD). The remote will then send commands for the selected device.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Battery Replacement

Replace the AA batteries when the remote's performance degrades or the indicator light does not illuminate during operation. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 2.1.

4.2. Cleaning

To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive moisture, as this can damage the remote's electronics.

5. Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
  • Ensure you have selected the correct device mode (TV, SAT, or DVD) for the appliance you are trying to control.
• Learning process fails:
  • Verify that your original remote control is an infrared (IR) remote and is fully functional. The L336 cannot learn from Bluetooth or USB remotes.
  • Ensure the original remote and the L336 are placed head-to-head, approximately 1 inch apart, during the learning process.
  • Make sure there are no obstructions between the two remotes.
  • Repeat the learning steps carefully. Sometimes, a slight adjustment in distance or angle can improve learning success.
  • If a key was previously learned incorrectly, simply repeat the learning procedure for that specific key to overwrite the old command.
• Learned function does not work:
  • Ensure the correct device key (TV, SAT, DVD) is selected on the L336.
  • Re-perform the learning procedure for the problematic key, ensuring the original remote sends a strong, clear signal.
