3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.

Important: The filters are individually wrapped in plastic film for protection during shipping. You must remove this film before first use.

- Locate the filter compartment cover, usually on the back or side of the unit.
- Open the cover and carefully remove the filters.
- Remove all plastic packaging from each filter.
- Insert the filters back into the compartment in the correct order (refer to markings inside the unit if present). Ensure they are seated securely.
- Close the filter compartment cover.
3.3 Placement
Place the air purifier on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around the air inlet and outlet for optimal air circulation. Avoid placing it directly against walls or furniture.
3.4 Power Connection

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off
- Press the Power button on the touch display or remote control to turn the unit on or off.

4.6 Display Information

- Air Quality Index (AQI): Indicated by a 3-stage color display (e.g., Green for Good, Yellow for Moderate, Red for Poor).
- Temperature and Humidity: Current room temperature and relative humidity.
- Timer Setting: Remaining time if the timer function is active.
- Mode Indicator: Shows the current operating mode.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air purifier.
5.1 Filter Replacement
The Promed AC-4000 uses a multi-stage filter system including a washable aluminum pre-filter and a high-quality HEPA H13 combi-filter (activated carbon, photo-catalytic, cold-catalytic). The filter lifetime depends on usage and air quality, but generally, the HEPA filter should be replaced every 6-12 months.
- The unit may have a filter replacement indicator light. When it illuminates, it's time to check or replace the filters.
- Unplug the air purifier before opening the filter compartment.
- Remove the old filters and dispose of them properly.
- Install new, genuine Promed replacement filters, ensuring all packaging is removed.
- Close the filter compartment cover.
