1. Introduction

The weeylite RC-11 is a dedicated wireless remote control designed for seamless operation of various Weeylite and VILTROX lighting products. Utilizing a 2.4GHz Bluetooth wireless system, it allows users to adjust settings such as brightness, color temperature, and mode from a distance, enhancing convenience and control during photography and videography sessions.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the RC-11 remote.

  3. Insert two (2) AAA 1.5V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Pairing with Lights

The RC-11 uses a 2.4GHz wireless system to communicate with compatible lights. To establish a connection:

  1. Ensure your weeylite or VILTROX light is powered on.
  2. On the RC-11, long press the CH/GRP button to enter channel setting mode. Use the + or - buttons to select the desired channel (e.g., CH_1).
  3. Short press the CH/GRP button to switch to group setting mode. Use the + or - buttons to select the desired group (e.g., Group_A).
  4. Set your compatible light to the exact same channel and group as selected on the RC-11. Refer to your light's instruction manual for specific steps on setting its channel and group.
  5. Once the channel and group match, the remote will establish a connection with the light.

4. Operating Instructions

This section details the functions of each button on the RC-11 remote control.

  • ON/OFF Button:
    • Long press: Powers the remote control on or off.
    • Short press: Toggles the current channel's lights on or off.
  • CH/GRP Button:
    • Long press: Enters channel setting mode. Use +/- to adjust the channel.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote control. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Storage: If the remote controller will not be used for an extended period, remove the AAA batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the device.
  • Storage Conditions: Store the remote in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
    • Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient power. Replace if necessary.
    • Ensure the remote is powered on.
    • Verify that the remote's channel and group settings match those of the target light.
  • Light not responding to commands:
    • Confirm the light is powered on and within range of the remote.
    • Check the light's own settings to ensure it is configured to receive remote commands.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the light that could interfere with the 2.4GHz signal.
  • Remote automatically shuts down:
    • The RC-11 is designed to shut down automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. This is normal operation. Press any button to reactivate.
