Key Features
- Ultra Resistance: Highly resistant to scratches, common stains (water, coffee, wine, oil, ketchup), and heat up to 100°C.
- Food Contact Safe: Suitable for occasional contact with food, with contact times limited to 2 hours.
- Superior Adhesion: Ensures maximum adhesion on solid wood, laminated, and previously varnished surfaces.
- Water-Based Formula: Low odor and easy to clean with water.
- Versatile Compatibility: Can be applied over existing varnished and laminated surfaces.
Setup and Preparation
Proper surface preparation is crucial for optimal adhesion and durability of the varnish. Ensure the work area is well-ventilated.
Surface Preparation:
- Natural Wood or Varnished Surfaces: Sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 240-grit) to ensure good adhesion. Clean thoroughly to remove all dust and debris.
- Laminated Surfaces: Clean the surface with a detergent-based cleaner (e.g., soda, bleach) and rinse thoroughly. Allow to dry completely. Lightly sand with fine-grit sandpaper and clean again.
Varnish Preparation:
- Before use, add the reinforcement additive (if included) to the varnish.
- Mix thoroughly for at least two minutes until the additive is fully dispersed.
- Allow the mixture to rest for five minutes before application.

Operating (Application)
Apply the varnish in ideal conditions: on a clean, dry, and healthy surface, between 12°C and 25°C, and without drafts.
- Apply a generous first coat using a brush or roller, following the wood grain.
- Allow to dry for 24 hours.
- Lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 400-grit) between coats to ensure smoothness and adhesion. Clean off all dust.
- Apply a second coat following the same application method.
- Allow to dry for 24 hours.
- For enhanced durability, a third coat can be applied after proper drying and light sanding of the second coat.
The full resistance of this product is achieved after 20 days of drying. During this period, avoid heavy use, scratches, and stains. After 20 days, the protective properties of the varnish are fully developed.

Maintenance
The V33 Worktop Varnish is designed for easy maintenance due to its washable properties.
- Clean surfaces regularly with a damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive detergent.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the varnish finish.
- Promptly wipe up spills, especially acidic or colored liquids, to prevent potential staining, although the varnish offers high stain resistance.
- For long-term durability, consider reapplying a coat of varnish every few years, depending on wear and tear.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Poor Adhesion / Peeling | Insufficient surface preparation (not sanded or cleaned properly). | Ensure surface is clean, dry, and properly sanded before application. Re-prepare and reapply. |
| Uneven Finish / Brush Marks | Varnish drying too quickly; improper application technique; not mixing thoroughly. | Work quickly and evenly. Ensure proper mixing. Apply in recommended temperature range (12-25°C). Lightly sand between coats. |
| Strong Odor | Although water-based, some residual odor may be present. | Ensure adequate ventilation during and after application. The odor should dissipate as the varnish cures. |
| Lack of Full Resistance | Product has not fully cured. | Allow 20 days for the varnish to achieve full resistance properties. Avoid heavy use during this period. |
