Setup and Installation
Careful planning is essential for a successful installation. Ensure you have access to the underside of your stairs for wiring. The system is designed for plug-and-play setup with quick connectors.
1. LED Light Bar Installation
The 23.6" aluminum LED light bars can be installed using either metal clips or double-sided adhesive. Position them under the lip of each stair tread. Ensure the stair treads are 25" or wider for optimal fit.

LED light bar installation options: metal clip fixing and double-sided adhesive fixing, with dimensions.
2. Motion Sensor Installation
The motion sensors can be installed via surface mounting or flush mounting. Place one sensor at the top of the staircase and one at the bottom to detect movement from both directions. A daylight sensor is also included to optimize operation based on ambient light levels.

Operating Instructions
The KOMIGAN KMG-3233 system operates primarily through motion detection, activating the LED lights in a cascading sequence. The controller allows for customization of various settings to suit your preferences.
Motion Activation
When a motion sensor detects movement at either the top or bottom of the stairs, the LED lights will sequentially illuminate, creating a dynamic cascading effect. The lights will remain on for a set duration and then turn off in sequence once no motion is detected.

Controller Settings
The controller features buttons to adjust the following:
- Speed: Controls the speed of the cascading light effect.
- Brightness: Adjusts the overall brightness of the LED lights.
- Mode: Selects between different lighting modes, including cascading, simultaneous lighting (all lights on), and automatic cycle modes.
- Duration: Sets the time delay for how long the lights remain illuminated after motion detection ceases.
Refer to the controller's labels for specific button functions and indicators.
Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your KOMIGAN LED Stair Lighting Kit, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the LED light bars and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure. Inspect light bars and sensors for any physical damage.
- Environment: This product is designed for indoor use only. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your lighting kit, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Lights not turning on: Check the power supply connection and ensure the controller is receiving power. Verify that motion sensors are unobstructed and correctly connected.
- Incorrect cascading sequence: Ensure all LED light bars are connected to the correct ports on the controller according to the wiring diagram.
- Lights staying on/off too long: Adjust the duration setting on the controller. Check motion sensor placement and sensitivity.
- Flickering lights: Ensure all connections are secure. Check the power supply for stable output.
