This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your ALERTCAM Adjustable Security Camera Wall Mount. Designed for versatility and durability, this mount allows for optimal positioning of your surveillance cameras, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Compatibility

The ALERTCAM Adjustable Security Camera Wall Mount is universally compatible with cameras featuring a standard 1/4-inch threaded hole. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Ring Stick Up Cam (Battery/Plug-in, 3rd Gen)
• Ring Stick Up Cam Pro (3rd Gen)
• Ring Outdoor Cam Plus
• Ring Indoor Cam (1st Gen)
• Eufy Cam
• Roelink Argus

Note: This mount is not compatible with Ring Spotlight Cam Plus (Battery/Plug-in) or Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) due to differing mounting mechanisms.

Setup and Installation

Your ALERTCAM mount offers two installation methods: screw-in for permanent secure mounting and adhesive tape for smooth surfaces without drilling.

Installation Methods

Choose the method that best suits your mounting surface and desired permanence.

Method 1: Screw-in Installation (Recommended for most surfaces)

1. Select Location: Choose a suitable location on a wall or ceiling.
2. Mark Holes: Place the mount base against the desired surface and mark the positions for the two screw holes.
3. Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked spots. If installing into drywall or masonry, insert the provided wall anchors.
4. Secure Mount: Align the mount base with the pilot holes/anchors and secure it firmly with the provided screws.
5. Attach Camera: Screw your compatible security camera onto the threaded post of the mount.

Method 2: Adhesive Tape Installation (For smooth surfaces only)

Note: This method is suitable only for smooth, clean, and dry surfaces such as tile, metal, glass, or laminates. Not recommended for painted walls, wallpaper, or rough surfaces.

1. Clean Surface: Thoroughly clean the mounting surface to ensure it is free of dust, grease, and moisture. Allow it to dry completely.
2. Apply Adhesive: Peel the protective backing from the adhesive tape and firmly press it onto the back of the mount base.
3. Mount Base: Press the mount firmly against the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.
4. Wait 24 Hours: Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before attaching the camera to ensure maximum bond strength.
5. Attach Camera: After the curing period, screw your compatible security camera onto the threaded post of the mount.

Operating and Adjusting Your Mount

The ALERTCAM mount provides extensive flexibility for positioning your camera to achieve the perfect viewing angle.

• 360° Swivel: The mount features a full 360-degree swivel capability, allowing you to rotate your camera horizontally to cover any direction.
• 90° Tilt: Adjust the camera vertically with up to a 90-degree tilt, enabling you to point it upwards or downwards as needed.
• Secure Locking: Once the desired angle is achieved, tighten the adjustment knob to securely lock the camera in place, preventing accidental movement.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ALERTCAM mount, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

• Regular Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
• Check Tightness: Periodically check all screws and adjustment knobs to ensure they are securely tightened. This is especially important for outdoor installations where vibrations or weather conditions may loosen fasteners.
• Inspect for Damage: Regularly inspect the mount for any signs of wear, corrosion, or damage. Replace the mount if any significant damage is observed.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your ALERTCAM mount, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Camera is Loose or Sags:
  • Ensure the camera is fully screwed onto the threaded post.
  • Tighten the adjustment knob on the mount to secure the ball joint.
• Mount is Not Secure on Surface:
  • For screw-in installations, ensure screws are fully tightened and appropriate wall anchors were used.
  • For adhesive installations, verify the surface was clean and smooth, and allow the full 24-hour curing time before attaching the camera. If the issue persists, consider switching to screw-in installation.
• Difficulty Adjusting Angle:
  • Loosen the adjustment knob slightly to allow for movement, then re-tighten once the desired angle is set.
