It functions as a multi-mode alert system, providing welcome chimes, security alarms, doorbell notifications, and even ambient lighting. Please read this manual carefully before installation and operation to ensure optimal performance and safety.

3. Product Features

4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Devices

Both the sensor and receiver can be powered by batteries or Micro USB. Batteries are not included.

• Infrared Motion Sensor: Requires 3 x AAA batteries or Micro USB power.
• Receiver Unit: Requires 3 x AA batteries or Micro USB power.

To insert batteries, open the battery compartment cover on the back of each device and insert the batteries according to the polarity markings. For Micro USB power, connect a standard Micro USB cable (not included) to the port on the device and to a compatible USB power adapter.

4.2 Mounting

Both the sensor and receiver come with a mounting base for easy installation.

• Sensor Placement: Position the infrared sensor in an area where motion detection is desired, such as an entrance, hallway, or gate. Ensure the sensor's detection area is clear of obstructions.
• Receiver Placement: Place the receiver unit in a central location within your home or office, ensuring it is within the wireless range of the sensor.
• Adjusting the Sensor: The sensor can be rotated 360 degrees horizontally and 180 degrees vertically to achieve the optimal detection angle.

5. Operating Modes

The NineLeaf Motion Detector System offers five distinct operating modes, selectable via the mode button on the receiver.

• Welcome Mode: Plays a welcome chime (5 selectable languages) when motion is detected. Ideal for storefronts or entryways.
• Alarm Mode: Emits a loud alarm (up to 113dB) upon motion detection. Suitable for security alerts.
• Doorbell Mode: Functions as a traditional doorbell, playing one of 36 selectable ringtones.
• Colored Light Mode: Activates a colored light (Red, Blue, Green, White) upon motion detection. Useful for distinguishing multiple entrances.
• Night Light Mode: Provides a soft white light for 2 minutes when motion is detected, acting as a temporary night light.

5.1 Adjusting Settings

• Volume Adjustment: Press the volume button on the receiver to cycle through 4 volume levels (Loud, High, Medium, Low).
• Ringtone/Melody Selection: In Doorbell mode, press the melody button to cycle through the 36 available ringtones.
• Brightness Adjustment: In silent light mode, press the brightness button to cycle through 4 levels of brightness.
• Color Selection: In Colored Light mode, press the color button to select from Red, Blue, Green, or White light.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator light on either device signals low power, replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Refer to section 4.1 for battery types and installation.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the devices with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface or internal components. Ensure the sensor lens is clean for optimal detection.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Detection: Check battery levels. Ensure the sensor is positioned correctly and its lens is clean. Verify no obstructions are blocking the detection path.
• No Sound/Light from Receiver: Check receiver battery levels or USB power connection. Ensure the receiver is within range of the sensor. Verify the volume is not set to minimum or mute.
• False Alarms: Adjust the sensor's angle to avoid detecting pets, moving branches, or direct sunlight. Consider placing the sensor in a less exposed area.
• Short Wireless Range: Ensure there are no significant obstacles (thick walls, metal structures) between the sensor and receiver. Relocate devices closer if necessary.
