Setup Guide

1. Unpacking and Initial Assembly

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your Catit PIXI Smart Water Fountain, and to ensure your cat always has access to clean water.

1. Water Refill

Refill the water reservoir as indicated by the blinking red LED light or a push notification from the app. Always use fresh, clean water.

2. Filter Replacement

The Triple Action Filter should be replaced regularly, typically every 3-4 weeks, or when the blinking blue LED light indicates. Frequent use or multiple cats may require more frequent replacement.

  1. Unplug the fountain.
  2. Remove the top section of the fountain.
  3. Remove the old filter and dispose of it.
  4. Rinse the new filter thoroughly under cold tap water before inserting it into the filter compartment.
  5. Reassemble the fountain and refill with water.

3. Fountain Cleaning

Clean the entire fountain, including the pump, at least once a month. The app will provide cleaning reminders.

  1. Unplug the fountain and empty all water.
  2. Disassemble all parts: top, reservoir, pump, and filter compartment.
  3. Clean all components with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  4. Pump Cleaning: The pump should be regularly dismantled and cleaned to prevent mineral buildup and ensure silent operation.
    • Remove the pump from its housing.
    • Carefully open the pump casing and remove the impeller.
    • Clean the impeller and the inside of the pump with a small brush or cotton swab to remove any debris or slime.

  5. Rinse all parts thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
  6. Reassemble the fountain.
