Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and proper setup of your Flame King Portable Smokeless Propane Fire Pit.

Unboxing and Initial Assembly

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the product overview are present.
  2. Place the fire pit on a stable, non-combustible surface, ensuring adequate clearance from any flammable materials.

Connecting the Propane Tank

  1. Ensure the control knob on the fire pit is in the "OFF" position.
  2. Connect the pre-attached 10 ft hose with regulator to a standard BBQ propane tank (5, 10, 20, 30, or 40 LB tanks are compatible). Hand-tighten the connection securely.
  3. Place the propane tank on a flat, stable surface, ideally using the provided stabilizer ring to prevent tipping. Position the tank away from the fire pit, utilizing the full length of the hose.

Placing Lava Rocks

  1. Distribute the included lava rocks evenly over the burner assembly inside the fire bowl. Ensure the burner holes are not completely blocked to allow for proper gas flow and flame distribution.

Operating Instructions

Learn how to safely light, adjust, and turn off your fire pit.

Lighting the Fire Pit

  1. Slowly open the valve on your propane tank counter-clockwise until fully open.
  2. Press and hold the control knob on the fire pit, then rotate it counter-clockwise to the "HIGH" position. The integrated piezo igniter will spark, lighting the gas.
  3. If the fire pit does not light within 5 seconds, turn the control knob to "OFF", close the propane tank valve, wait 5 minutes for gas to dissipate, and then repeat the lighting procedure.

Adjusting the Flame

  • Once lit, you can adjust the flame height by rotating the control knob between the "LOW" and "HIGH" settings.

Turning Off the Fire Pit

  1. First, close the valve on the propane tank by turning it clockwise until fully closed.
  2. Allow any remaining gas in the hose to burn off until the flames extinguish.
  3. Turn the control knob on the fire pit to the "OFF" position.

Cleaning

  • Ensure the fire pit is completely cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Periodically inspect the lava rocks for debris and clean as needed.

Storage

  • After the fire pit has completely cooled, disconnect the propane tank.
  • Place the UV- and weather-resistant cover over the fire bowl to protect it from the elements.
  • Use the provided carry straps to secure the cover and facilitate easy transport and storage.
