1. Introduction

The Dixell XR02CX-5N0C1 is a compact digital controller designed for refrigeration applications at normal temperatures. This device features off-cycle defrost capabilities and provides a relay output to manage the compressor. It includes one NTC probe input and one digital input, making it suitable for various appliances such as fridges, freezers, and heating units. The instrument is fully configurable through its parameters, which can be easily programmed via the keyboard or using a HOTKEY.

2. Safety Precautions

  • Verify Supply Voltage: Always check that the supply voltage is correct before connecting the instrument to power.
  • Environmental Conditions: Do not expose the controller to water or excessive moisture. Use the device only within its specified operating limits, avoiding sudden temperature changes with high atmospheric humidity to prevent condensation.

  • Probe Placement: Ensure the temperature probe is installed in a location inaccessible to end-users.
  • Do Not Open: The instrument casing must not be opened by unauthorized personnel.
  • Relay Current Limits: Consider the maximum current that can be applied to each relay as specified in the Technical Data section.
  • Wiring Separation: Ensure that wires for probes, loads, and the power supply are separated and sufficiently far from each other, avoiding crossing or intertwining.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Mounting

The XR02CX-5N0C1 is designed for panel mounting. The mounting measurements are 71mm x 29mm, with a built-in depth of 56mm. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

3.2 Electrical Connections

Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper electrical connections. All connections must be performed by qualified personnel and in accordance with local electrical codes.

The unit operates on a 230V, 50-60Hz AC supply. It features one NTC probe input (probes are not included and must be purchased separately) and one digital input. The relay output for the compressor is a NO-20A(8) type.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

The Dixell XR02CX-5N0C1 features a 2½ digit display for temperature readings and status indicators. All operational parameters can be configured through the front panel keyboard. For quick and efficient programming, a HOTKEY can be utilized.

4.2 Defrost Function

This controller includes an off-cycle defrost function, which is managed by time control. Specific parameters related to defrost cycles can be adjusted to suit the application's requirements.

4.3 Temperature Measurement

The instrument measures temperatures within a range of -40°C to +110°C using an NTC probe.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your Dixell XR02CX-5N0C1 controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Always disconnect power before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • Clean the display and casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6. Troubleshooting

Provide a detailed description of the fault to assist with diagnosis. Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself, as this may void the warranty and could lead to further damage or safety hazards.
