- Always ensure the voltage of your electrical outlet matches the voltage specified on the iron's rating plate.
- Do not leave the iron unattended while it is switched on or connected to the power supply.
- Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children and pets when it is switched on or cooling down.
- Never immerse the iron, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Do not touch the hot soleplate. Always use the handle.
- Unplug the iron from the power outlet before filling or emptying the water tank, and when not in use.
- Use the iron only on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not operate the iron if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage, or if it is leaking. Contact customer support for assistance.
- Do not attempt to repair the iron yourself. Repairs should only be performed by qualified service personnel.
Setup Guide
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove the iron and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
2. First Use Preparation
Before first use, remove any labels or protective film from the soleplate. It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to be emitted during the first few minutes of operation as manufacturing residues burn off. This will dissipate quickly.
3. Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Open the water tank filler cap, usually located on the top of the iron's handle.
- Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' indicator line. The tank has a capacity of 270 ml. Do not overfill.
- Close the filler cap securely.
4. Connecting to Power
Plug the iron's power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet (240 Volts). The iron is now ready for use.
Operating Instructions
1. Temperature Control
Turn the temperature dial to select the appropriate heat setting for your fabric type. Always check the garment's care label. Allow the iron to heat up until the indicator light turns off, signaling that the desired temperature has been reached.
2. Steam Ironing
For steam ironing, ensure the water tank is filled. Select a temperature setting suitable for steam (usually indicated on the dial). Once the iron reaches temperature, steam will be generated automatically or can be activated via a steam control switch. For stubborn wrinkles, press the steam boost button to release a powerful burst of steam (up to 210 g/min).

3. Dry Ironing
For dry ironing, ensure the steam control is set to the 'no steam' position. Select the desired temperature. This mode is ideal for delicate fabrics or when no steam is required.
4. Spray Function
Press the spray button on the handle to release a fine mist of water onto the fabric. This helps to dampen dry areas and makes ironing easier, especially for stubborn creases.
5. Automatic Shut-off
For enhanced safety, the iron is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. If left motionless on its soleplate for a certain period (e.g., 30 seconds) or upright for a longer period (e.g., 8 minutes), it will automatically turn off. To restart, simply move the iron.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your iron.
1. After Each Use
- Unplug the iron and allow it to cool down completely.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent mineral buildup.
2. Cleaning the Soleplate
The ceramic soleplate is designed for durability and easy cleaning. If starch or synthetic fibers stick to the soleplate, clean it when it is cold with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals as they can damage the soleplate.

3. Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits from water can accumulate inside the iron, affecting steam performance. While this model features an anti-calc system, regular descaling is recommended, especially in hard water areas. Refer to the specific descaling instructions in your full product manual or Tefal's website for detailed steps.
4. Storage
Store the cooled iron in an upright position to prevent damage to the soleplate. Ensure the cord is neatly wrapped and not kinked.
