6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your iron.

6.1. After Each Use

  • Unplug the iron and allow it to cool down completely.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank.

6.2. Cleaning the Soleplate

  • When the soleplate is cool, wipe it with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  • Do not use abrasive pads, scouring powders, or harsh chemicals as they can damage the soleplate.

6.3. Anti-Calc System

The iron features an integrated Anti-Calc system to reduce limescale build-up. For optimal performance, perform the self-clean function periodically (e.g., once a month or as needed based on water hardness).

  • Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
  • Set the temperature to maximum and allow the iron to heat up.
  • Unplug the iron and hold it horizontally over a sink.
  • Press and hold the Self-Clean / Anti-Calc button. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, flushing out scale particles.

  • Plug the iron back in and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
