  • Drawer Slides (6 pairs)
  • Handles (3)
  • Casters (5, including 2 lockable and 1 anti-tipping)
  • File Hanging Bars (2)
  • Assembly Hardware (screws, dowels, cam locks, etc.)
  • Assembly Tool (screwdriver)

Assembly Instructions

Assembly typically requires 1-2 hours. It is recommended to have a Phillips head screwdriver and possibly a drill (for pilot holes, not for overtightening) for easier assembly. Do not use power tools for installing posts that join sections to avoid stripping holes.

Step 1: Unpack and Identify Parts

  • Clear a spacious area for assembly.
  • Carefully unpack all components and lay them out.
  • Refer to the parts list in your package to identify each piece.

Step 2: Assemble the Cabinet Frame

  • Attach the side panels to the bottom panel using the provided hardware (dowels and cam locks).
  • Secure the top panel to the side panels.
  • Slide the back panel into the designated grooves or attach it with small nails/screws.

Step 3: Install Drawer Slides on Cabinet

  • Identify the cabinet-side drawer slides.
  • Attach the drawer slides to the inner sides of the cabinet using the specified screws. Ensure they are level and facing the correct direction for smooth operation.

Step 4: Assemble Drawers

  • For each of the three drawers, connect the front, back, and side panels.
  • Slide the drawer bottom into the grooves.
  • Attach the drawer-side drawer slides to the assembled drawers.
  • Attach the handles to the front of each drawer. Ensure screws are tightened firmly but do not overtighten to prevent damage.

Step 5: Install Casters

  • Turn the cabinet upside down.
  • Attach the two lockable casters to the front corners of the cabinet base.
  • Attach the two regular casters to the rear corners.
  • Install the anti-tipping caster in the center of the bottom drawer's underside. This caster provides stability when the bottom drawer is fully extended.

Step 6: Insert Drawers

  • Carefully align the drawer slides on each drawer with the corresponding slides in the cabinet.
  • Gently push each drawer into the cabinet until it clicks into place. Test for smooth operation.

Step 7: Install File Hanging Bars

  • Insert the file hanging bars into the designated slots in the bottom drawer. These bars are adjustable to accommodate Letter or A4 size files.

  • The bottom drawer features full-extension slides, allowing complete access to your files.

File Organization

  • The bottom drawer is equipped with adjustable hanging bars to accommodate both Letter and A4 size files. Adjust the bars by sliding them to fit your desired file size.

Caster Functionality

  • The cabinet is fitted with 5 rolling casters for easy mobility.
  • To lock the cabinet in place, press down on the levers of the two front lockable casters. To unlock, lift the levers.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
  • For stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution and immediately dry with a clean cloth.

General Care

  • Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary, but do not overtighten.
  • Avoid placing excessively heavy items on top of the cabinet or in the drawers to prevent damage and maintain stability. The maximum weight capacity is 150 lbs for the top and 55 lbs per drawer.
  • Keep the cabinet away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture to preserve the wood material.

Troubleshooting

Drawers Not Closing Smoothly

  • Check Alignment: Ensure the drawer slides are correctly aligned on both the drawer and the cabinet. Misalignment can cause friction.
  • Obstructions: Look for any objects or debris obstructing the drawer's path or the slide mechanism.
  • Overload: Verify that the drawer is not overloaded, exceeding its 55 lbs weight capacity.
  • Hardware: Confirm all screws securing the drawer slides are tight.

Wobbly Handles

  • Tighten Screws: Gently tighten the screws from the inside of the drawer that secure the handles. Be careful not to overtighten, which can strip the wood.
  • Check Fit: Ensure the handle is correctly seated against the drawer front.

Cabinet Instability / Wobbling

  • Level Surface: Place the cabinet on a flat, level surface.
  • Caster Locks: Ensure the front casters are locked when the cabinet is stationary.
  • Assembly Check: Re-check all assembly connections (screws, cam locks) to ensure they are fully tightened.
