2. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the charger from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Place the charger on a stable, flat surface in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the charger's power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. The charger is now ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Charging a Battery Pack

  1. Insert Battery: Slide the DEWALT 12V/20V MAX Lithium-Ion battery pack firmly into the charger until it clicks into place.
  2. Monitor Indicators: Observe the indicator lights on the charger.

4.2 Charger Indicator Lights

  • Pack Charging: The indicator light will illuminate to show the battery pack is actively charging.
  • Pack Charged: Once the battery pack is fully charged, the indicator light will change to indicate completion.
  • Hot/Cold Delay: If the battery pack is too hot or too cold, the charger will enter a delay mode until the battery reaches an acceptable temperature for charging. The indicator light will show this status. Charging will automatically begin once the temperature is suitable.

4.3 Removing a Battery Pack

Once charging is complete, press the release button on the battery pack (if applicable) and slide it out of the charger. Disconnect the charger from the power outlet when not in use.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from the power supply before cleaning. Use a dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the charger. Do not use water or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the charger in a dry, indoor location when not in use. Avoid storing in areas with extreme temperatures or high humidity.
  • Cord Care: Do not wrap the power cord tightly around the charger. Avoid kinking or damaging the cord.
